Campers & General Public Welcome. Want to learn new skills and gain more confidence while hiking in the mountains.. join us on our Hill Skills course in the Comeragh Mountains on Saturday 30th July. Meeting point is the Getaway Dungarvan at 09:30AM. Course covers - maps, map features, grid references, navigation, emergency procedures, hill kit. A little bit about us...
The Getaway is a small, family run, Eco Camping Park set on the edge of the Comeragh Mountains in County Waterford, Ireland.
We are located on Cruachan, the nearest of the mountains to the historic port town of Dungarvan and backdrop to its harbour and square.
Whether exploring the surrounding countryside or relaxing outside around a campfire in the evening, The Getaway will help you restore that much needed inner peace.

We have 12 Hardstanding Motorhome bays all with 16 AMP electric hook up & water access.
The Nook
& Cranny
Our converted barn known as "The Nook" offers a seating area as well as campers kitchen.

"We only stayed for one night on our way to Rosslare but what a lovely place. Location is totally rural but still so close to pubs and Dungarvan. Lovely shared barn with kitchen and seating (wood burner for colder nights), great information board listing walks, cycle rides and taxis for trips into town and even delivering take away firms should you so wish. Hilli is a fantastic host and the campsite is a credit to her"
